David Truffelman

David Truffelman brings over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, with deep expertise in Volume Profile analysis and Smart Money concepts. His journey began in the early 1990s as an investment banker, where he helped raise capital for small companies. However, in 1997, David decided to follow his passion for trading and joined Schonfeld Securities, where he managed up to $5 million in capital. This marked the start of his lifelong dedication to mastering the markets.

After the tech bubble burst in 2003, David transitioned to ProActive Futures, an NFA-registered Introducing Broker, where he built the company from the ground up. At the same time, he reinvented his own trading strategy after seven profitable years at a hedge fund. Though the process took time, he ultimately found his footing again when a mentor introduced him to the power of market profile and volume analysis, key tools that helped him regain consistent profitability.

From 2008 to 2019, David ran a futures brokerage and produced technical research for financial advisors, with Volume Profile at the core of his strategy. His largest client, Standard and Poor’s MarketScope Advisors, relied on his insights to guide their market decisions.

Since 2019, David has focused on trading funded accounts in both the FX and futures markets. His approach to trading, grounded in Volume Profile and Smart Money analysis, allows him to trade systematically and objectively, eliminating emotional decision-making.

David is not only an active trader but also a mentor to many, having helped numerous traders achieve their goal of becoming fully funded. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and guiding others on their trading journeys.

Currently, David serves as a Customer Outreach Specialist at Trader Dale, where he helps guide traders on the type of education best suited to their individual needs. His role ensures that traders receive personalized advice, helping them find the right path to success.
